FIGHTING BACK STROKE. Latinos are at higher risk of suffering strokes than non-Latinos, and their strokes seem to be occurring at younger ages, according to medical experts. Healthcare professionals believe this may be due to a lack of access to healthcare. A recent study also shows that living in an area saturated with fast-food restaurants can raise the risk of stroke. The American Heart Association has begun a bilingual campaign to raise awareness of the risks and signs of stroke.
