CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE IN GEORGIA. A federal judge blocked portions of an anti-immigration law in Georgia that would have increased the ability of the police to request immigration papers and punished people who knowingly transported or sheltered undocumented immigrants. Students are still barred from attending Georgia's state universities. As the final fate of the law is decided, undocumented youth have risked arrest protesting the law. Students say they are following the footsteps of the great civil rights leaders of the South.
