ALSO, LEGAL BATTLE IN ARIZONA – The anti-immigrant law SB 1070 in Arizona is sparking reactions across the nation. National groups including the ACLU and MALDEF have announced a federal lawsuit, Mexico is taking action against the law, and groups are calling for a boycott of all Arizona-based companies and products. In addition, a coalition of sheriffs has denounced the law as encouraging racial profiling and creating more distrust of law enforcement.
