Línea Abierta : MICHOACAN SIMULCAST: AMBASSADOR ELVIRA ARELLANO?

This is a monthly simulcast in collaboration with the twelve-station network of Radio Michoacán in Morelia. In this program, deported Mexican activist Elvira Arellano talks about her request to visit the U.S. as a Mexican ambassador for peace and justice, and her cross-border quest to keep immigration reform demands alive. Also, the National Organization for Women in the U.S. is speaking out in support of Arellano and is urging its members to call for a moratorium on deportations and family separation. NOW Vice president Olga Vives joins this program. The program also includes segments of interviews with Saulito Arellano, the son of Elvira, and Chicago activist Emma Lozano, during their visit to the New York City Council.
